History

Lafarge Infrastructure started as Transportation Systems Management Inc. (TSMI)

TSMI was established in 1995 to bid on Alberta Transportation highway maintenance contracts. We successfully teamed with Alberta Transportation transitioning through the era of the Province of Alberta operating the maintenance contracts, to the privatization of the CMAs (contract management areas.) TSMI was successful as one of the first companies to obtain a CMA contract, growing to be one of the largest maintenance contractors in Alberta operating 5 CMAs at our peak.

in 2004, TSMI began the process of pursuing the first P3 (Public-Private Partnership) contract for the first ever 30 year highway maintenance contract in Alberta.

On October 23, 2007 TSMI began a 30 year highway maintenance contract for approximately 60 percent of the Anthony Henday Ring Road around Edmonton. This includes the West, South, and East legs of the Anthony Henday.

On January 1, 2011 Lafarge re-branded TSMI as Lafarge Infrastructure.
